I was stuck for 6 months – until one small change unlocked everything

For 6 months, I felt stuck.
Our one project wasn’t growing the way I wanted.
We were busy… but not moving forward.
Every day felt like pushing a car uphill.

I tried everything: new tools, new goals, longer hours. Nothing worked.

Then one day, during a catch-up with my co-founder, he said:
“You’re working hard, but not from the right place.”

At first, I didn’t get it. But later, it clicked.
I was working from pressure, not from purpose.
Every decision came from stress… “we need to hit targets,” “we need results,” “we can’t fall behind.”

So I made one small change:
Instead of asking “What should I do next?”
I started asking, “What actually matters right now?”

That one shift changed everything.
We focused on fewer things – but the right things.
The team’s energy came back.
And results started to follow.

It reminded me that progress doesn’t always come from doing more.
Sometimes, it comes from slowing down and getting clear again.

If you’re feeling stuck… you’re not broken.
You probably just need a small reset, not a full rebuild.

Sometimes the unlock is smaller than you think.

What’s one small shift that helped you move forward in your startup journey?
